5 Ways to Walk Off Weight

5 ways to walk off weight
By: Antonio Galeano, ESL Student
Burn extra calories
Seize every opportunity to move around. Stand and walk instead sit while talking on the phone;
Walk around the airport instead of sitting at the lounge; whatever the occasion,(except eating)

Remember the three Fs of walking: faster farther frequently
If you can do all three, go for it, but if you can do only one, that’s fine…

Set goals
Set goals that are challenging and realistic- to talk every day for a week or to take a 4 mile Weekend hike.
Take walks every day.
Every day walking keeps you active, and burn calories. Walk at least 20 minutes
Walk as fast as you can
Be comfortable in your walking speed. You want to feel energized as you walk and you want to
Have the motivation to walk again tomorrow.

To summarize:
· Burn extra calories
· Remember the three Fs of walking: faster farther frequently
· Set goals
· Take walks every day.
· Walk as fast as you can
